Non-US citizens or visa holders can apply to go to the United States of America (US) on a temporary basis on either a B-1 Visa for a business visit or on a B-2 Visa for pleasure.
These visas require that the applicant has permanent residence in the home country and has no intention of staying illegally in the US. The applicant must prove he/she is entering the U.S. for a temporary period, and that will engage in activity relating to business or pleasure, not employment.
