This visa is for a child of a New Zealand citizen or resident to join his/her parents in New Zealand.

Requirements
The child must be:
- aged 17 years or younger and single
or
- aged 18 to 24 years, single, and have no children
And
- be born or adopted before his/her parents applied for residence, and have been declared on the parents’ application for residence
or - be born after the parents applied for residence
or - be adopted by the parents as a result of a New Zealand adoption or an overseas adoption recognised under New Zealand law.
And
- be in good health
- be of good character
- be totally or substantially dependent on an adult for financial support (whether or not the parent or guardian whom they are living with, except if aged 18 to 20). Applicants aged 18 to 20 are eligible for residence as dependent children whether financially dependent or not
