This type of visa enables people to start or buy a business in New Zealand as a path to migration.
Applicants must submit a business plan, show relevant knowledge about the New Zealand business environment and how their business will contribute to New Zealand.
Applicants must also show sufficient funds, for the business as well as for their own maintenance and that of any dependants.
If approved, the successful applicants may stay in New Zealand for nine months to establish their business and may extend it for up to three years.
