Canada’s provinces and territories can nominate people who have the skills they
need, to migrate to Canada. Requirements Applicants under the Provincial Nominee Program must:
- be nominated by a specific Canadian province or territory (based on their skills), then
- apply to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to become a permanent resident of Canada.
Applications are made in two stages:
- Apply to the province or territory. Requirements vary depending on the area. Provinces include:
- British Columbia
- New Brunswick
- Newfoundland and Labrador
- Northwest Territories
- Nova Scotia
- Prince Edward Island
