The Tier 4 (General) category is for adult students who want to come to or remain in the UK for their post-16 education.
General Requirements for a Student Visa(UK)
-A Confirmation of acceptance for studies reference number issued by your approved education provider you must include this with your application.
-Bank statements or a letter confirming that you have enough money to cover your course fees and cost of living for the duration of your stay in the UK is also required in order to assure you will be taken care of during your time studying in the UK.
In addition to these documents you will be required to provide further information on your academic, and economic background.

Academically, there are three modes through which you will receive information:
Lectures provide the basics of the subject. Usually in a large classroom setting, they are used to inform, explain and demonstrate. Lecturers use a range of teaching methods including visual, audio, and web-based materials to support your learning. You are responsible for paying attention and taking your own notes. Professors are not keen on repeating themselves and will only pause briefly for questions.
Tutorials are more of a small meeting group for students, guided by a teaching assistant. Here you can discuss lectures in more depth, raise questions you had about the material and tackle specific problems.
Seminars tend to involve larger groups of students than tutorials and offer more intensive discussion. These are more common in the later years and very usefully if utilized properly.
