Australian tourist visas are valid for 3 months from the date they are granted, and allow multiple entries.
You are not permitted to work on any tourist visa however limited charitable work is acceptable.
Study or training lasting more than 3 months is also not permitted on this type of visa.
You may be required to submit the following with your visa application:
• Confirmation of travel (onward and return tickets) required
• Evidence of sufficient funds to support your stay in Australia eg. traveler’s checks you have purchased or a current bank statement indicating funds available to you.
• A letter from your employer (on business letterhead with contact details) stating that leave of absence has been granted and that you will be returning to your current job.
• A letter outlining your plans while in Australia.If visiting friends or family,please provide contact name, adddress and telephone number while in Australia.
